I'm Sick of the Liberal Lies!

What set me off is Liberalforum.org had a post on a - Petition in Support of McCain Amendment to Stop Torture by American Troops - Reading the comments to this ticked me off because it once again showed the ignorance and continual repetition of the liberal talking points without regard for the truth. My comment to their post is as follows.

During the VietNam war the socialist faction in this country (Including John Kerry) brought out all kinds of stories of atrocities our troops were committing against the South VietNamese. During the last election the Swift Boat Vets showed how Kerry and his ilk lied and the lie was believed for more than 30 years. - Those who prefer the truth now know that VietNam vets did not eat dead burnt babies.

I know people that are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Good people that are trying to make a positive difference in the peoples lives over there. You and your ilk are merely repeating the same diatribe of the flower children of the 70's. 30 years from now history will show how much of your noise is just that. Noise.

One reason I cannot stand the liberal left is because of the dishonesty they continually shower on the world.

Example from comment above: [following was cut and pasted from a very eloquent liberal - prying1] quote - In Iraq right now, people have freedoms..yay for them!! but oh wait they dont have running water, sparse electricy... jobs whats that? and they now live with violance everywhere. - end quote -

These same people had violence under Sadamm. Would you have him brought back and placed back in power? I've asked that of many liberals and they hem and haw about the fact that Iraq and the world IS better off without Sadamm in power.

Running water under Sadamm - quote from - http://www.harvard-magazine.com/on-line/010538.html
When Saddam and his increasingly Sunni-focused regime went after the wetlands, his primary target was its human inhabitants, a quarter of a million or more Marsh Arabs, or Ma'dan, so called —Shi'ites. They lived in watery harmony with their environment, in homes made of reeds on artificial mud-and-reed islands or on the banks of the marshes, as their predecessors had for millennia. With reason, Saddam saw the Marsh Arabs as disloyal, unmanageable, and hard to catch in their refuge of reeds. His efforts to erase them and their habitat began in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq War and accelerated following a failed Shiite uprising after the Gulf War in 1991. He napalmed their houses, strafed them from helicopters, blew them up, and killed them by the tens of thousands. He slaughtered their water buffalo and cattle, poisoned the water to eradicate the fish, and burned the reed beds. Those marsh dwellers who weren't exterminated were displaced from their homes at gunpoint again and again. Rape and torture were commonplace. Many Marsh Arabs fled to refugee camps in Iran. Today, their population has shrunk to an estimated 80,000. - end quote - Now we have water flowing back in! - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4284195.stm -

Electricity is being restored. The infrastructure was ruined before we got there. It will take time to run the wires.

Prying1 sez:
Another thing that really burns me about these people is that many of them were frothing at the mouth to torture Terri Schiavo through dehydration and starvation. As Andrew C. McCarthy wrote Concerning Terri in National Review Online "She'’d be better off if she were a terrorist."
